About Me!

This is me:

Hey there!  I'm just a  26 27 28 (how DO I keep getting older?) year old single engaged momma who loves the Good Lord, my boy and running!   I haven't seen too many books, articles, or pieces on single mom's who run. I was looking for anything to support me but couldn't really find anything.  So I thought I'd be the inspiration!  A few things you might find interesting... or might not...

  1. I LOVE COFFEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  2. singing is an even deeper love
  3. reading a good book helps me unwind
  4. I'm probably the goofiest runner you ever did see
  5. I talk to myself when I run...
  6. my son and I love to just have FUN!
  7. I love flowers of kinds but couldn't grow a dern thing.  No green thumb...(I just recently however, won some pink flowers at a local race and have kept them ALIVE for two whole months now! As of July 28th 2012...)
  8. I enjoy food.  And lots of it!  Especially peanut butter!
  9. Not a fan of cold weather... at all! Love summer!
  10. I'm really not all that interesting am I???
  11. Laughter is the greatest medicine!
  12. Two years ago I couldn't run one mile straight... not even 1/4 of a mile I'm sure!
  13. I HATED p.e. in school and made fun of all the athletics... I know, I know..shame on me!
  14. I also hated sweating. wow.  Look at me now!
  15. I loathe pickles.
Just a down to earth kinda girl.  Who loves running and hopes I will inspire many others too! As far as why I started running you can read my tale HERE.
And just so you know, I have no degree in health or physical education of any kind.  So always, ALWAYS seek a professional for your personalized training tips and health concerns!

And now that I have mastered the art of single parenting and running...I have a new chapter and challenge in my life: how to balance the art of running, parenting and husband!  The whole shebang. Family life.  whoa.  I never in a million years thought I would be here.
Stay tuned...
